altered box and gift bag

Hi there everyone, hope you are having  a happy day today, I had a productive morning, after the chores of course, I was given four plastic tea bag containers, they were all purple, which as a colour I quite like, so I did not change the colour, but hot glued a paper doily and some leaves and small roses and sprig, to the top, which I think that was all it needed, as purple is an elegant colour, I did not do anything to the inside because it is purple velvet,  very posh for tea bags!!!! the gift bag was one I bought at the Op Shop, and is a burgundy colour, so I just added scraps of graphic 45 "Good Ol Sports" paper,
and am happy with it, I like altering gift bags, they can be great fun!!!!!
Thanks for visiting today, and hope you have a happy crafty day yourself!!!!

Friend

Hi there, this morning I received a newsletter from Sizzex with a lovely card designed by Anna
Wite, she does make beautiful cards, and my take on her card is this, I used a grey background cardstock, and a topper with a dark brown card and I stamped a flower from Prima doll stamp set #910518, "For You" and cut out some houses from book paper, a very old book, and shaded them with Tim's Vintage Photo ink pad, and cut some little red hearts from an mpress cutting die, "Heart frame die" and used a pale beige mottled paper and wrote on it "In a perfect world you would live next door"  I have a friend who lives a long way away and will send it to her, hope she likes it, and I would like to say "Thanks for visiting today", your comments are always appreciated, Jasmine

Thanks

Hi there everyone, hope you are having a good day, here is a Thank You card, I made the friend who organised a bus trip and cruise on Wallis Lake for a group of her friends, and we had a wonderful day, so I thought I would give her a card with my thanks.   I used a shiny purple card stock and used an mpress embossing folder "Jackies Flower"  this folder is a favourite, I used it a lot.   I cut out the "Fancy That" dragon fly and the Memory Box Thanks in silver card from Poppy Crafts.   I used white gel pen for the sentiment inside the card and will give this to her tomorrow.  Thanks for visiting today!!!

Happy Anniversary

Hi there everyone, we are having another hot day today, air con is working overtime, after chores this morning, I have spent the rest of the day making this card for my Son and his lovely wife who are celebrating their 18th wedding anniversary in March, I got the inspiration from a card Brenda Brown of Bumblebees and butterflies, http://bumblebeesandbutterflies.com  Brenda makes beautiful cards, I used some different elements in my card with the striped paper from Good ol' Sports from Graphic 45 and a Tim Holtz stencil "Hearts" I also used one of the cutting dies from Spellbinders "Majestic Elements" to cut out the centre, I used Tim Holtz "Heart Wings" and two little hearts were cut from a generic heart punch that I have had for years, and the alphabet was Memory Box cutting die "abc soup" and the numbers were from Cuttlebug die "Baby Face"  On the inside I put the paper cutout  in and wrote "The best thing to hold on to is each other" Audrey Hepburn, which I saw just recently on the net. just wrote a little note to them both, I couldn't scan the inside as my scanner would not recognise it as one piece.   I just hope they will like this one, and Thanks for visiting today!!!    Jasann

Happy Easter

Hi there everyone, hope you are enjoying the lovely weather we are having here in the Hunter  Area today. As it will soon be Easter I started making my Easter Cards, and this one was made with plain white cardstock and I sprayed Tumbled Glass for the Blue sky and I found some cloud stickers in my stash, I bought these in one of the bargain shops, then I used a Tim Holtz stencil "hearts" with some pink ink pad, I used one of the new Prima Stamps "For You" and paper pierced the little doll, and  gave her some bunny ears, though to me they look a little like devil's horns, but they are meant to be  bunny ears, I had some green grass which was sent to me in a gift pack from one of my friends, I used the flower stamps that came in the stamp set and two little brads that I bought from a site on e bay, I love the little duck and the little butterfly, I gave the doll high socks and black shoes and some clear rhinestones on the belt and on her neck, and I cut out the sentiment with a small alpha set "abc soup" from Memory Box, I coloured her hair and shoes  with a stabile fineline pen.. The large flowers were coloured with a Crayola Pip Squeaks skinnies marker pink.   Hope the person it goes to will like it.   Thanks for visiting today!!!!

christmas 2014

Here is a canvas I have been working on for a few days, the photo was taken at Christmas 2014, with the grandparents and the two smaller grandsons, and I used lots of texture paste and a few found pieces from my stash, the sea shells were found by my smaller grandson Jack on Stockton  Beach when we were there for a paddle, and I used a foot in a thong that was given to me by my friend Helen, I really like it but thought it was a mite big, I used the Tim Holtz die Sand and Sea for the star fish and the sea horse, and heat embossed the sea horse with dark green and faded jeans embossing powder, I sprayed with a mixture of Tim Holtz and Dyan Reaveley ink sprays, Tumbled Glass, Cut Grass and Vibrant Turquoise and at the end a light spray with Perfect Pearls Sunflower Sparkle to give a light shine, on the bachground before I stuck everything down with hot glue I used stencils, Tim Holtz Burlap and Memory Box arrows to add texture to the background, and I cut out Memory Box letters for the Christmas and Cuttlebug numbers for the 2014.  I had fun with this but would have liked to put more on this piece but am a bit short of "found pieces"  but am happy with the result and am going to give this piece to the small grandsons as a memory piece for the wonderful Christmas we all had!!!  Thanks for visiting today!!!!

storage

Hi there everyone, hope you day will be good!!!  Here is a round Kleenix Box that I use for tissues in the car because it fits into the drink container.   I thought I would use it for storage, inspiration came from an e mail I recieved from a friend who had photo's she found on the net, don't know who was the original designer, but whoever you are, THANKS FOR THE INSPIRATION>   I covered my boxes with paper from a pad I bought at Big W,  it is sturdy paper 48 pages. The manufacturer is Fabricado en chine.   the pad is called "Once upon a time" and the papers are beautiful, it cost $20 aud, but I think it is worth the cost because I will get a lot of use out of it because it is suitable for cards, mini albums, layouts etc.   anyway I measured
out the length I needed and used double sided
tape to stick it on and used various pieces out of
my stash to decorate and used hot glue to stick all on except the ribbon and lace, for these I used double sided tape, I put a ball of string inside and will be able to replace it when it is used up,  I am happy with this item, Can't wait for the next box to be empty!  Thanks for visiting!!!
