Steam punk hat

This is an altered headress which I found the chalI lenge on  Ink Stains, http://inkstainswithroni.blogspot.com.she has a beautiful altered hat on her page, she directed to the site Altered Headress Challenges.   I got the pattern for the hat out of the August issue of Craft Stamper, and although I didn't have  a lot of the items required, I gave it a go.   Instead of the Grunge Paper I used black cardstock, and I covered it with Kindyglitz black opal for the glitter and strength.  I used twine for the lacing but put it the wrong way up the box should be at the bottom of the eyelets.  I used various colours of eyelets as I have had them in my stash for over 40 years, just using one or two as required, but I never let them go!  I painted them with acrylic paint so they were all the same colour.  I used a feather that one of our grandsons gave us that he found in the garden and some pearls on wire, the maroon flower and the little red one have been in my stash for ages.   The littlee clock and owl are also out of my stash, but I used a Tim Holtz small gear under the red flower.

Halloween card number 4

This card is for our eldest grandson and is in the Steampunk style.  I used thick silver paper from my hubby's medication, it has a really good feel to it and holds the embossing very well, the embossing folder I used is the Riveted Metal, Tim Holtz.  I also used his gears and the three men from the stamp pack "Curious Possibility" and I cut the litte skulls from some scrapbook paper that I have had for a long time, the 31 is from the Quickutz numbers no 48.   and I cut a little bat.  the clocks on the ower edge are from Graphic 45 The old Curiosity Shoppe paper pad.  I really like this one for an older boy.

Halloween card number 3

This is card number three, I used black cardstock with patterned paper downloaded from the Free Digi stamp site, they have some lovely images, I used the Moon, Flying Witch and large pumpkin free digi stamps from about.com rubber stamping.   I used a dark purple gel pen to colour the witch and her car on the brookstick, I think this turned out fine for a young boy.

Halloween Card No 2.

This is my second card, which I made on Friday night, the background is black card stock with paper from "The Curoisity Shoppe" by Graphic 45, the lace is Tim Holtz' the Happy Halloween paper was downloaded and printed from the internet, and I cannot remember where it came from as I have had it a long time.   The lovely little ghost with the pumpkin head is from "The Graphic Fairy"  she has lots of lovely downloads.   The numbers 31 are from Quickutz No 48 number set, and the  "st" is from Provo Craft letters die "curls and Swirls", and I used Kindy Glitz black opal for the glitter on the "31st".  I think this will go to one of the younger Grandsons.

Halloween no 1

Here is the first of my Halloween cards for my grandsons.  I used black card stock and for the yellow checks I used paper from a 6 x 6" paper stack from We R Memory keepers, and the black paper and the little pigs along the bottom of the page are from The Curoisity Shoppe from Graphic 45, the die cutters are from Couture Victorian Rectangle where I used two different sizes, the central digi stamp is from " Free Digi stamps", and the Happy Haunting I typed on my computer.

Christmas Bouquet

I made this card also from the Vintage Christmas Special Cardmaking Made Easy Kit.   Instead of cutting the pointsettia's by hand I used my Big Shot and the Pointsettia cutting die from Marianne's Creatables. All the other pieces were in the kit.   Another card that I am happy with, I had lost my inspiration for Christmas cards and this kit has brought it back

easel card No 3

I made this card from a Card Making Kit that I bought, Cardmaking in Easy Steps, Vintage Christmas Special, 185 piece cardmaking kit.  This kit comes with all the pieces you need to make lovely Christmas cards.   This one is an easel card, paper toll style.  I quite like this one.
